Yes. We design all of our heat pump systems to work with your existing central heating system. In most cases there will be no alterations to underfloor heating however, if you have radiators, we may need to increase the sizes of them.

This is all covered as part of our free Heat Loss Survey of your home.

The heat pumps we install run at a maximum decibel rating of 64dB. This is about as noisy as a gas boiler flue should you stand near to it when a boiler runs.

We ensure that noise levels are kept low by installing the heat pump on the ground where possible to avoid noise transference into brickwork. All heat pump installations must pass the MCS standard MCS020. This is calculated during our free Heat Loss survey of your home.

Heat pumps run on electricity which is around 3.5 times more expensive than gas. However, the heat pumps are approximately 3.6 times more efficient than gas so in most cases, heat pumps cost less to run than a gas boiler.

We work with you to determine if you will get a saving ahead of any installation to ensure you have all the information you need to make the right choice for you and your home.

Yes. The current grant scheme is called the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. We take all the stress out of the application process and complete it on your behalf. The BUS scheme offers £5,000 towards the cost of a heat pump installation and is covered by OFGEM at the final invoice stage.

To have a successful application the heat pump must be a whole house solution for all of your hot water and central heating requirements. Your home also needs to have an EPC that is less than 10 years old. This EPC must not have any recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation. You can check your EPC by visiting https://www.gov.uk/find-energy-certificate

  • This will depend on the size of your battery and the charger you use.
  • Slow chargers (up to 3Kw) Best for over night charging as these can take typically between six to 12 hours.
  • Fast chargers (7Kw to 22Kw) Usually take between three to four hours to charge.
  • Rapid Chargers (43Kw to 50Kw) These can charge an EV to 80% in around 30 minutes.

The battery life of an EV will vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle. Most manufacturers offer an eight year or 100,000 mile warranty for their EV batteries.

Charging your EV at home is convenient and cost-effective, you can just plug it in and leave it to charge overnight. You’ll need to install a wall unit charge point, but you can get a government grant to help with the installation cost.

You can charge your EV easily at home, workplace or at any public electric charging points.

Most domestic Solar Panel installations take no more than a day with minimum disruption. Typically, the scaffolding will be erected a couple of days before the Solar PV installation team arrive. We will then mount the panels on the roof and install the inverter, batteries and EV charger if ordered. Finally carrying out the internal wiring.

Solar PV panels alone will not give you electricity 24 hours a day as they only produce electricity in daylight hours. You would need a battery system as well as Solar PV panels to be able to come off-grid.

A typical residential solar panel system costs between £4,000 and £10,000 before tax credits or incentives. Costs vary based on system size, panel type, and additional components like batteries.

Solar panels are nearly maintenance-free, typically requiring only occasional cleaning and periodic inspections to ensure optimal performance. They are designed to last 25-30 years with minimal upkeep.

All our batteries are fully IP rated for both internal and external installations. Your installation engineer will discuss your preferred location with you ahead of the works. If you have any specific requests, please contact the office ahead of ordering. Please note that new guidelines recommend not installing batteries in main loft spaces.

Home batteries fall under permitted development rights, so planning consent is not required for installation. However, if your property is located in a conservation area, is listed, or is of historical interest, you will need to seek approval from the relevant authorities before placing an order.

A typical battery installation takes one working day. However, more complex installations may take slightly longer.

Several energy providers offer ‘off-peak’ tariffs for cheaper night time charging. We recommend exploring your tariff options before making a purchase. All Solar takes no responsibility for the tariffs you may or may not be able to obtain.

All the batteries we install come with a minimum 10-year warranty. Some models offer extended warranty coverage. For details on individual product warranties, please refer to the product information.
